Sex Assault Squad detectives have charged a 50-year-old man as a result of their investigation into an assault that occurred in Mount Lawley on 18 August 2017.
It will be alleged about 8.40am, the man attempted to abduct a 15-year-old girl who was jogging along Clifton Crescent near the alleyway between Second and Third Avenues. It is also alleged he assaulted and threatened her before she was able to break free from him and run away.
A 50-year old man, currently in prison has been charged with:-
• Assault with Intent to Commission a Crime;
• Detained Another with Intent to Prevent/Hinder Person Doing Act; and
• Threaten to Kill.
He is due to appear before Perth Magistrates Court on 20 March 2019.
