Murray River Crossing Update

National Road Transport Association

Transport for NSW, in partnership with Victoria’s Department of Transport (DoT) is investigating opportunities to improve the 32 Murray River crossings.

Watch the below explainer video.

These investigations aim to establish the case for a program-level investment to enable each of the crossings to:

  • meet community needs
  • support freight movements and connectivity
  • maintain bridges to an appropriate condition and reduce costs to customers

The investigation will explore the issues and challenges experienced by customers using the crossings and will identify a prioritised scope of work and investment strategy to respond to future population and employment growth in the Murray River community.

As a key stakeholder and user of these crossings, they would appreciate your feedback to gain an understanding of issues, local experiences, and future needs regarding living near, travelling on and accessing the river crossings.

Transport will be seeking feedback on the Murray River crossings until Friday 27 May.

You are invited to participate in this consultation by visiting the interactive online mapping portal here. Submit your feedback by identifying the relevant map location and sharing your thoughts and experiences.
