A new Think Mental Health campaign launches this weekend providing practical, evidence-based strategies to help Western Australians manage their mental health and wellbeing.
The ‘Learn to Look After You’ campaign acknowledges the stress and uncertainty people might be feeling due to increasing community transmission of COVID-19.
Research shows that feelings of uncertainty and lack of control can cause stress and anxiety. And while it’s natural for our minds to dwell on our problems, this can increase feelings of anxiety.
This campaign encourages Western Australian’s to learn to shift their thoughts, prioritise the things that bring them joy, accept that things change and be flexible.
It’s key message, ‘no matter the hard stuff that is going on around you, there are things you can do to help manage how you feel’ encompasses this idea and aims to motivate people to explore these management strategies further.
Launching on TV State-wide on Sunday February 13, the ‘Learn to Look After You’ campaign will be supported by advertising in cinemas and press, online and across social media.

“The ‘Learn to Look After You’ campaign developed with expert advice provided by specialist provider This Way Up, recognises this is a very challenging time for many people.
“This campaign offers people real, practical strategies that will help them with their mental health and wellbeing.
