New croquet pavilion coming for Cowes

Bass Coast Shire Council has begun construction on a new croquet pavilion within Blue Gum Reserve in Cowes.

This project will create a brand new croquet pavilion to accommodate the Phillip Island Croquet Club’s increasing membership base. The new facility will include accessible amenities, a multi-purpose/social space, toilets and shower, storage and a kitchenette.

This exciting project is expected to be completed by June 2022, subject to favourable weather and contractor and supplier availability.

This $600,000 project has been funded by a $545,000 grant from Sport and Recreation Victoria, as well as $30,000 from Council and $25,000 from the Phillip Island Croquet Club.

In addition, Council acknowledges the significant contribution from the Club towards the detailed design for the pavilion.
