  • Funding open to local governments and not-for-profit organisations
  • Program supports the provision of quality, sustainable sporting infrastructure in Western Australian communities
  • Sport and Recreation Minister Mick Murray today announced the next Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund (CSRFF) Small Grants round will open on February 1, 2021.

The CSRFF Small Grants round is open to local governments and not-for-profit organisations seeking funding towards projects that increase physical activity and participation in sport and active recreation.

The CSRFF is administered by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC) for projects ranging from $7,500 to $300,000. Up to $1 million in funding is available in this round.

All applications must be submitted to DLGSC by March 31, but community clubs and groups must send applications to their local government for assessment prior to then.

Examples of previously supported small grants include new sports courts, cricket nets, small floodlighting projects, sports storage and change room refurbishments.

All prospective applicants are required to contact their local DLGSC office to discuss the proposed project before submitting their application.

Application forms are available from local DLGSC offices in regional areas, and your local government office in metropolitan areas.

Successful applicants will be notified in June 2021.

For more information and to apply, visit the DLGSC website.

As stated by Sport and Recreation Minister Mick Murray:
