A Maternal and Child Health (MCH) consult room is now open at Mirvac’s Smiths Lane Sales Office and Community Space, 216 Alexander Boulevard, Clyde North.
On Sunday 13 September, City of Casey Mayor Cr Michelle Crowther, Deputy Mayor and Dillwynia Ward Councillor Anthony Walter and CEO Glenn Patterson joined Mirvac’s Development Director Master planned Communities Victoria, Glen Greening at the official opening of the new community space, which includes the consult room.
Cr Crowther thanked Mirvac for partnering with Council to deliver the new Maternal and Child Health consult room for the Clyde North community.
“The Clyde North area is rapidly emerging as one of Casey’s fastest-growing suburbs, resulting in increased demand for our MCH Service,” she said.
“For this next two years, this new room will allow families in the Smiths Lane and surrounding catchment area convenient access to a vital service whilst awaiting the opening of the future Alexander Boulevard Community Hub.”
Cr Walter said, “This new consult room reflects our commitment to ensuring local families can access the support they need, close to home, during the important early years of a child’s life.”
Mr Greening said, “As Smiths Lane continues to grow, we’re focused on delivering the infrastructure, services and amenity our residents and the surrounding community need as early as possible, ensuring the neighbourhood evolves alongside the people who call it home,” he said
“Bringing health services, community spaces, local businesses and fitness facilities together in one central location will create a vibrant space that makes it easy for residents to build connections close to home, access everyday services and support an active lifestyle.”
Mirvac’s Smiths Lane Sales Office and Community Space will also be home to a range of Council-run groups, including a first-time parent group, and a back to babies group.
