Key personnel, including the chief pilot, safety manager or accountable manager, can add users as authorised representatives to transact with us on the organisation’s behalf. Authorised representatives can prepare applications or notifications and pay any associated fees.
To maintain oversight, the CEO or accountable manager will receive a notification to review and approve submissions before they can be lodged with CASA.
The enhancement was introduced alongside a new myCASA service that allows organisations to notify us of significant changes to their approvals.
As part of the roll out, we asked existing authorised representatives and organisations to check and update their information in myCASA.
This helps protect organisations by ensuring that only authorised individuals can transact with us on behalf of the business through myCASA.
Access for authorised representatives
If you are a CEO or hold a key personnel role (such as chief pilot, safety manager or accountable manager) you will always have access to your organisational record.
If you used to be an authorised representative and no longer have access to an organisation profile in myCASA, here’s how you go about reactivating it.
Request access
To request access:
- Log in to myCASA.
- Select Authorised representatives under the Organisations and business heading.
- Enter your organisation’s ARN.
- Enter your business email address and phone number.
Your request will be sent to the organisation’s email address we have on our records for approval and you will receive an email as soon as it’s approved.
An authorised representative will need to renew their access every 12 months. This is to ensure that only people with an ongoing need for access retain it.
Adding access for an individual
Any existing authorised representative or delegate (such as CEO or key personnel) can give individuals access using the following instructions.
- Log in to myCASA and select the organisation profile.
- Click Manage users under the Authorised representatives heading.
- Anyone who has requested access will be listed. Select Approve or Decline.
- To add someone that hasn’t requested access, select Add user.
- Enter their ARN.
- Enter their business email address and/or phone number.
- They will receive an email to say they have been linked.
