Of relevance is the media statement made on 12 November 2021 by the Hon. Dominic Perrottet, NSW Premier, and the Hon. Stuart Ayres, Minister for Jobs, Investment, Tourism and Western Sydney; Minister for Trade and Industry. NSW and ACT universities welcomed the NSW Government’s announcement today waiving quarantine measures for returning international students who are fully vaccinated with a TGA-recognised vaccine. “We have missed the many contributions international students make to our community and are looking forward to welcoming the first cohort of international students on Monday 6 December 2021. The pilot plan is a joint undertaking between the NSW Government, Study NSW and all NSW and ACT universities and aims to see 500 fully vaccinated students return before the end of the year,” said Professor Glover.
