Nominations open for 2024 Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards

There are 12 award categories for nurses and midwives working in any health care setting which recognise excellence in client care, education, research, professional leadership and commitment to the nursing and midwifery profession in the Territory.

The categories are

1. Registered Undergraduate Student of the Year

2. Excellence in Early Career

3. Excellence in Education

4. Excellence in Research/Quality Improvement

5. Excellence in Aged Care

6. Excellence in Leadership

7. Excellence in Aboriginal Health

8. Team Excellence Award

9. Client Appreciation Excellence Award

10. NT Administrator’s Medal for Lifetime Achievement

11. Nurse of the Year

12. Midwife of the Year

All nurses and midwives who hold a current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and are employed in the NT as a nurse or midwife at the time of nomination (or within 12 months of nomination) are eligible for nomination.

Award finalists will be announced at an event in Alice Springs on Friday 22 March 2024. Award winners will be announced at a gala ball in Darwin on Saturday, 4 May 2024.
