Transport Victoria will return to Kilmore this month (August 2026) to complete road repairs along sections of the Northern Highway.
The works were paused in July due to poor weather and will resume near the intersections of Mill Road, Tootle Street, Broadhurst Street and Rutledge Street.
The Northern Highway is managed by Transport Victoria. These works are not being delivered by Mitchell Shire Council.
When will the works take place?
Patching near Tootle Street, Broadhurst Street and Rutledge Street will be completed during the day. Reduced speed limits will be in place while crews are working.
Work near the intersection of the Northern Highway and Mill Road will be completed at night. Crews will also undertake linemarking and edge sealing at all repaired sections during the night works.
How will traffic be affected?
Lane closures and reduced speed limits will be in place during night works.
Motorists should follow signs and traffic controls, allow extra travel time and take care when travelling through the area.
