NSW police appeal after firearms and chainsaws stolen

Police are appealing for public assistance after several firearms and chainsaws were stolen during a break-in in the state’s Central Tablelands.

Between 6pm last Thursday (16 September 2021) and 7am last Friday (17September 2021), entry was forced onto a property on Forest Reefs Road, Forest Reefs, approximately 54km from Bathurst.

Two chainsaws, two rifles, a pump action shotgun, a single barrel shotgun and ammunition are believed to have been stolen.

Officers from Chifley Police District attended and established crime scene, which was forensically examined by specialist officers.

As inquires continue, police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident – or who has dashcam or mobile phone footage from the area – to contact Bathurst Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
