NSW police charge four men after more than $250k drugs, $50,000 cash seized

Four men have been charged following investigation into the large-scale supply of prohibited drugs in Sydney’s south-west.

In February this year, officers attached to Police Transport Command South-West – Proactive Crime Team established Strike Force Turquoise to investigate the large-scale supply of methylamphetamine in south-west Sydney.

As part of those investigations, officers allegedly seized more than 400g of methylamphetamine between October 2021 and April 2022, with a potential estimated street value of more than $250,000.

Following inquiries, officers – with the assistance of Police Transport Command North Central and North-West – executed search warrants at properties in Guildford, Milperra, Bass Hill, and Merrylands from 7am yesterday (Friday 1 April 2022),

At Milperra, police located and seized $42,000 cash, cannabis, electronic items and luxury goods including clothing, jewellery, watches, and handbags.

The occupant, a 31-year-old man was arrested and taken to Bankstown Police Station where he was charged with Knowingly direct activities of criminal group, supply prohibited drug – large commercial quantity, two counts of supply prohibited drug – commercial quantity, supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, two counts of possess prohibited drug, possess/attempt to, prescribed restricted substance, and two counts of knowingly deal with proceeds of crime.

At Guildford, police located and seized $10,000 cash, methylamphetamine, cannabis, and electronic items.

The occupant, a 19-year-old man was arrested and taken to Bankstown Police Station where he was charged with participate in participate criminal group contribute criminal activity, supply prohibited drug – large commercial quantity, two counts of supply prohibited drug – commercial quantity, supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, four counts of possess prohibited drug, possess/attempt to, prescribed restricted substance, two counts of knowingly deal with proceeds of crime, and supply prohibited drug

At Bass Hill, police located and seized 90g of cocaine, 18g of Oxycodone, 18g of Cannabis, prescription medication, vials of steroids, cash and electronic items.

The occupant, a 23-year-old man was arrested and taken to Granville Police Station where he was charged with two counts of supply prohibited drug – indictable, four counts of possess prohibited drug, possess/attempt to, prescribed restricted substance, and deal with property proceeds of crime.

They were refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Saturday 2 April 2021).

At Merrylands, police located and seized methylamphetamine, LSD, cash, and electronic items.

The occupant, a 40-year-old man was arrested and taken to Granville Police Station where he was charged with two counts of possess prohibited drug.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court on Tuesday 19 April 2022.
