NSW police charge man after investigation into break and enter offences at Tamworth

A man will face court today on charges relating to the alleged aggravated break and enter of homes in the state’s north east.

On Tuesday 22 September 2020, the Oxley Proactive Crime Team commenced inquiries into the break and enter of two homes at Tamworth.

Police will allege a large amount of property was stolen from a home on Paton Street, sometime between 2pm on Sunday 20 September 2020 and 4.20pm Monday 21 September 2020.

On Tuesday (22 September 2020), police received reports of a second aggravated break and enter at a home on Croydon Street, where various items including phones were stolen.

Following inquiries, police arrested a man, aged 21, at a home on Robert Street, Tamworth, about 7.15am today (Monday 28 September 2020).

The man was taken to Tamworth Police Station where he was charged with aggravated break enter steal (x2), acc after fact aggravated break enter steal (x2), steal from dwelling and possess drug, breach of Order FIW (x2), revocation of parole FIW, and breach of bail.

He was refused bail to appear before Tamworth Local Court today (Monday 28 September 2020).
