NSW police charge man over sexual touching

A man will face court after allegedly sexually touching a woman while travelling on a bus in Sydney’s west last month.

About 4.20pm on Wednesday 16 September 2020, a 22-year-old woman was travelling on a bus between Parramatta and Bankstown, when a man allegedly sexually touched her.

The woman reported the incident to police and officers from the Police Transport and Public Safety Command – South West Region commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries and a public appeal, police arrested a 50-year-old man at Auburn Police Station about 7.00pm yesterday (Wednesday 28 October 2020).

He was charged with sexually touch another person without consent.

The man was given strict conditional bail to appear before Bankstown Local Court on Wednesday 9 December 2020.
