NSW police charge man with drug supply at Wagga Wagga

A man has been charged following an investigation into drug supply in the state’s south west.

Officers from Southern Region Enforcement Squad conducted an investigation into the alleged supply of prohibited drugs in the Wagga Wagga area via a social media application.

Following inquiries, officers executed a search warrant at a house in Mount Austin, Wagga Wagga, shortly after 8am today (Friday 25 October 2019).

Officers allegedly seized MDMA, cannabis, a hydroponic setup, mobile phones and drug paraphernalia.

A 21-year-old man was arrested and taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station where he was charged with supply prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug and cultivate a prohibited plant.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Wagga Wagga Local Court on Wednesday 11 December 2019.
