NSW police charge pair after drugs seized at Tumut

A man and woman have been charged and drugs and weapons have been seized after police executed a search warrant at a home in the Riverina region yesterday.

About 12.15pm (Thursday 30 April 2020), officers from Riverina Police District searched a home at Lambie Street, Tumut.

During the search, police seized a working electronic stun device, four knuckle dusters, an amount of methylamphetamine, a small amount of cannabis, and a sum of cash

The occupants of the house, a 35-year-old man and 33-year-old woman, were arrested and taken to Tumut Police Station.

The man was charged with possess prohibited weapon, possess prohibited weapon contrary to a prohibition order, supply indicatable quantity of a prohibited drug (methylamphetamine), possess prohibited drug (cannabis) and, dealing in proceeds of crime (cash).

He was refused bail to appear before Tumut Local Court on Monday 25 May 2020.

The woman was charged with possess prohibited drug (methylamphetamine) and was granted bail to face Tumut Local Court on Tuesday 9 June 2020.
