NSW police charge teen after stabbing near Penrith

A teenage boy has been charged after an alleged stabbing in Sydney’s west yesterday.

About 6.20pm (Saturday 26 February 2022), emergency services attended a property on The Northern Road, Llandilo (10km north of Penrith), following reports of a stabbing.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 21-year-old man with stab wounds to the torso and left forearm. He was taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition and later underwent surgery.

Officers from Nepean Police Area Command arrested a 17-year-old male at the scene and conveyed him to Penrith Police Station.

A crime scene was established which was later examined by specialist police.

Following inquiries, the teenager was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievously bodily harm (DV).

He was refused bail to appear at a children’s court later today (Sunday 27 February 2022).

The two males are known to one another.
