NSW police charge teens over Burwood theft

Four teenagers have been charged after clothing was stolen from a store at Burwood yesterday.

Police were called after reports four youths had stolen clothing about 2pm yesterday (Tuesday 9 July 2019).

Following inquiries and an extensive search, four boys – three aged 16 and one aged 17 – were arrested at Hills Showground Railway Station, Castle Hill, about 3pm.

Police will allege clothing stolen from the Burwood store was found when the teens were searched.

The boys were taken to Castle Hill Police Station and each charged with larceny and participate in a criminal group.

They were refused bail to appear at a children’s court today (Wednesday 10 July 2019).
