NSW police charge two after investigation into home invasion at Wagga Wagga

Two men have been charged following an investigation into a home invasion in Wagga Wagga earlier this year.

About 4.30am on Tuesday 14 July 2020, three men allegedly forced entry to a home on Lusher Avenue, Turvey Park, and stole a handbag.

Two occupants, who were sleeping at the time, were alerted by the sound of a car alarm, and woke to find three men fleeing on foot along Urana Street.

The bolt of a firearm was located nearby.

Officers from Riverina Police District attended and commenced inquiries.

Following extensive inquiries, two 20-year-old men were arrested at correctional facilities in Silverwater and Cooma earlier today (Wednesday 14 October 2020). They were both charged with aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence.

The pair were remanded in custody to appear in Wagga Wagga Local Court via AVL today (Wednesday 14 October 2020).
