NSW police charge two over 2018 Parramatta assault

A man has been charged over an assault at Manly overnight and an unrelated assault at Parramatta in 2018, and a second man faced court today charged over the Parramatta assault.

About 2.30am (Sunday 10 March 2019), police attended a licensed premises on The Corso at Manly, after a man allegedly assaulted two men, aged 22 and 24, inside and was restrained by security officers.

Officers from Northern Beaches Police Area Command arrested a 21-year-old man.

He was taken to Manly Police Station and charged with two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and state false name to police officer.

It’s alleged the man was also allegedly involved in the assault of a 26-year-old man at a licensed premises on George Street at Parramatta on Saturday 29 September 2018.

He was also charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The Georges Hall man was granted conditional bail to appear at Manly Local Court on Wednesday 10 April 2019.

A second man, aged 22, known to him was arrested whilst waiting at Manly Police Station.

It’s alleged he was also involved in the 2018 assault at Parramatta.

He was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The Moorebank man appeared at Parramatta Bail Court today (Sunday 10 March 2019) and was granted conditional bail to appear at the same court on Tuesday 19 March 2019.
