NSW police charge two with drug supply at Goulburn

Two people have been arrested as part of investigations into an alleged drug supply operation in the state’s south.

In May 2019, Strike Force Rosseau was established by The Hume Police District to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs in the Goulburn area.

Following extensive investigations, strike force officers arrested a man and a woman over their alleged involvement in the supply of ‘ice’ throughout the region.

About 7.10am yesterday (Wednesday 13 November 2019), a 27-year-old woman and 53-year-old man were arrested in a carpark in Goulburn.

The woman was allegedly found with drugs in her possession.

Shortly after, strike force investigators executed a search warrant at a home in Goulburn and a home in Marulan.

Officers located and seized drugs, fireworks, electronic surveillance equipment, cash and mobile phones.

The woman has been charged with 44 counts of supply prohibited drugs, three counts of supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, one count of supply commercial quantity of prohibited drugs and possess prohibited drug.

The 53-year-old man has been charged with five counts of supply prohibited drugs, possess prohibited drug and handle explosives (fireworks) without permit.

Both have been refused bail to appear before Goulburn Local Court today (Thursday 14 November 2019).

Police inquiries are continuing.
