A man and woman have been charged with allegedly robbing a man in a hotel in the state’s Orana Region.
About 1.30pm (Saturday 11 January 2020), a 64-year-old man was approached by a man and a woman at a hotel in Whylandra Street, Dubbo whilst in the poker machine area.
The man playing the poker machine was allegedly held by the man and threatened, while the woman allegedly cashed his winnings to the value of $500.
Following inquiries, about 3pm officers attached to Orana Mid Western Police District attended Rivergum Place and arrested a 31-year-old man.
Shortly after police arrested a 32-year-old woman at Baird Drive.
The pair were taken to Dubbo Police Station and charged with robbery in company.
The 31-year old man was refused bail to appear at Dubbo Local Court on Monday 9 March 2020.
The 32-year-old woman was refused bail to appear at Dubbo Local Court Tuesday 3 March 2020.
