NSW police charge woman over service station armed robbery at Yass

A woman has been charged following an armed robbery in the state’s Southern Tablelands at the weekend.

About 9.45pm on Saturday 31 October 2020, a woman attended a service station on Comur Street, Yass.

She allegedly threatened the attendant with a knife and another item believed to be an electronic stun device, before stealing cash and cigarettes.

The woman fled on foot.

Officers from The Hume Police District attended and commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, a 26-year-old woman was found hiding in a roof cavity at a home in Yass about 10am today (Monday 2 November 2020).

She was arrested and taken to Yass Police Station and charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon.

The Central Coast woman was refused bail to appear in Goulburn Local Court tomorrow (Tuesday 3 November 2020).
