A woman has been charged with high-range drink-driving after crashing with two children in the vehicle at Wagga Wagga yesterday.
Just before 9am (Thursday 13 August 2020), the 34-year-old was driving a Land Rover Discovery with the children in the back when she allegedly crashed the car into a street sign at the intersection of the Sturt and Olympic highways.
The woman and two children were uninjured, while the car and sign sustained minor damage.
Traffic and Highway Patrol Command officers attended, and the woman was subjected to a roadside breath test, which allegedly returned a positive result.
She was taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station, where she underwent a breath analysis which returned an alleged reading of 0.240.
The woman was charged with high-range PCA and her licence was suspended.
She is due to appear in Wagga Wagga Local Court on Wednesday 23 September 2020.
A child at risk notification has been made.
