NSW police charge woman with high-range PCA at Mittagong

A woman will face court charged with high-range drink-driving in the state’s south.

About 11am today (Saturday 12 September 2020), officers attached to The Hume Police District were called to a property in Colo Vale following reports a woman had reversed a white Honda Civic into a fence, before leaving.

A search for the car was initiated and police conducted a patrol of the area before locating the vehicle on the Hume Highway, Mittagong, about 11.45am (Saturday 12 September 2020).

The driver, a 45-year-old woman, returned a positive roadside breath test.

She was arrested and taken to Southern Highlands Police Station where a subsequent breath analysis returned an alleged reading of 0.243. More than four times the legal limit.

The woman was charged with high-range PCA and is due to appear at Moss Vale Local Court on Tuesday 6 October 2020.

She was also issued a licence suspension notice.
