NSW police charge woman with property and drug offences at Tea Gardens

A woman will face court next month charged with several property and drug offences in the Port Stephens area.

Between April and August 2019, detectives from Port Stephens-Hunter and Mid North Coast Police Districts were investigating several alleged break, enter and steal incidents, targeting holiday and caravan parks and businesses in Tea Gardens and Port Macquarie.

As a result, Port Stephens-Hunter Police District established Operation Prosec to target property offences within the region.

Following extensive inquiries, about 10.20am on Friday 6 September 2019, police were patrolling the Buckets Way, Booral when a 38-year-old woman was stopped.

Upon searching the vehicle, police allegedly located amphetamine, MDMA, heroin and stolen registration plates.

She was arrested and taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station.

She was charged with breach of bail, goods in custody, larceny, four counts fo break enter and steal and three counts of possess prohibited drug.

She was refused bail to next appear at Raymond Terrace Local Court on Monday 21 October 2019.

Investigations under Operation Prosec are continuing.
