NSW police investigate after man dies at Nowra

Police are investigating after a man died at Nowra this morning.

Just before 4.20am (Tuesday 4 January 2022), emergency services were called to Nowra Lane, near Worrigee Street, Nowra, following reports a man had been located unconscious with injuries to his abdomen.

Officers attached to South Coast Police District attended and commenced CPR, prior to the arrival of NSW Ambulance paramedics.

Despite their efforts, the man died at Shoalhaven Hospital a short time later. He is yet to be formally identified.

A crime scene has been established at Nowra Lane, which will be examined by specialist forensic officers.

Investigations into the incident are underway, and police are urging anyone with information, or who may have dashcam vision from the area, to come forward.
