An investigation is underway after a man was shot in Albury overnight.
About 10pm (Tuesday 18 January 2022), police were called to a home on Eastern Circuit in East Albury, after reports of a shooting.
Officers from Murray River Police District attended and found a 38-year-old man suffering a gunshot wound to his torso.
He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Albury Base Hospital.
Three separate crime scenes have been established in East Albury and are being examined by specialist forensic officers.
The injured man has since undergone surgery and remains in a stable condition.
