NSW police investigate attempted armed robbery at Albury

Police are appealing for information following an attempted armed robbery outside a home in Lavington.

About 9.45pm Saturday 7 September 2019, a man attended a home on Kemp Street, Lavington.

Police have been told as the man arrived at the home, a vehicle pulled into the driveway and two men exited, demanding cash.

The first man allegedly grabbed the victim in a headlock before a knife was produced by one of the two men.

Officers attached to Murray River Police District have commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Investigators are now appealing for information about two men who may be able to assist with inquiries.

The first man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 180cm with tattoos on his arms.

The second man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 190cm with a distinctive beard.

Investigations are continuing and anyone with information is urged to contact Albury Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
