NSW police investigate restaurant armed robbery

Investigations have commenced by detectives at Tuggerah Lakes Police District following an armed robbery at a fast food restaurant on the state’s Central Coast last night.

About 10.20pm (Tuesday 24 March 2020), a man entered the restaurant on the Pacific Highway, Wadalba, through the front glass doors

He walked directly to the counter and demanded cash from the registers as he produced a knife and threatened staff members.

The employees of the store complied with the demands and opened the till; the armed man grabbed an amount of cash before running from the premises.

There were no customers in the store during the robbery, and no employees were hurt.

A crime scene was established as inquiries commenced.

The man has been described as Caucasian in appearance about 195cm tall and wearing a cap, a hooded dark coloured jumper with dark coloured knee length shorts and light grey shoes. He had a bandanna covering his face.
