Police are investigating after a man was stabbed in the state’s north-west early this morning.
Emergency services were called to a unit on Cossa Street, West Tamworth, just before 2.40am today (Thursday 28 October 2021) after reports a man had been stabbed.
The 47-year-old man was found at the unit with a stab wound to his neck.
He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being taken to Tamworth Hospital in a stable condition.
Officers from Oxley Police District established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation.
Following inquiries, and with the assistance of the Dog Unit, about 4.40am (Thursday 28 October 2021) police arrested a 57-year-old man nearby.
He was taken to Tamworth Police Station, where inquiries continue.
