NSW police investigating after armed robbery at Croydon

Police are investigating following an armed robbery at a fast-food restaurant in Sydney’s inner west today.

Just after 2am (Tuesday 21 January 2020), officers from Burwood Police Area Command were called to the restaurant on Parramatta Road near Great North Road, Croydon, following reports of an armed robbery.

Investigators have been told two men dressed in black, with their faces covered, entered the shop and threatened six employees with a knife, before stealing cash and fleeing the scene in a white vehicle.

No injuries have been reported.

A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident commenced.
