NSW police launch investigation into two-vehicle crash at Springwood

Investigations are continuing following a two-vehicle crash in the Blue Mountains today.

About 2.40pm (Saturday 6 June 2020), emergency services were called to the Great Western Highway, near Macquarie Road, at Springwood, following reports of a crash involving a bicycle and a utility.

The male cyclist was taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.

The male driver was not injured and was taken to Nepean Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from Blue Mountains Police Area Command established a crime scene with officers from the Crash Investigation Unit to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Any witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision of the crash is urged to come forward.
