NSW police responding to fatal motorcycle crash at Belmore

A motorcyclist has died following a crash in Sydney’s south west today.

About 6am (Saturday 14 November 2020), emergency services were called to Canterbury Road, Belmore, following reports a motorcycle rider lost control and crashed, hitting a pole.

The male rider died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.

Officers attached to Campsie Police Area Command have established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Canterbury Road remains closed between Burwood Road and Chapel Street. Motorists are advised to avoid the area with local traffic diversion sin place.

A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
