NSW police seek information after reported child approach at Cobar

Police are appealing for information after reports a child was approached by a man in the state’s north west last week.

Between 3pm and 4pm on Friday 10 July 2020, a 10-year-old girl was riding her bike along Mitchell Street, Cobar, when she was approached by a car at the intersection of Wetherell Street.

Police have been told a white twin cab utility pulled up alongside the girl and the male driver spoke to her, before driving away.

Officers attached to Central North Police District were notified on Saturday (11 July 2020) and commenced an investigation into the incident.

As part of their inquiries, police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man is described as being Caucasian appearance, of thin build, with short black hair, and brown eyes. He is also described has having three star tattoos on both temples and a stud in his top lip.
