Police are now in a position to name the two people who died in a light plane crash in the northern Tararua Ranges on Sunday.
The two men were 44-year-old Norman Alan Comerford of Paekakariki and 70-year-old Michael James Hall, known as Mike, of Te Horo.
Police offer their sympathies to their families and friends at this sad time.
