An off-duty officer has been charged with mid-range PCA.
Just after 1.30am (Friday 15 October 2021), officers from Blue Mountains Police Area Command stopped a vehicle on Macquarie Road, Springwood.
The driver – a 37-year-old man – was subjected to a roadside breath test which returned a positive result.
He was arrested and taken to Springwood Police Station, where he returned an alleged breath analysis of 0.093.
The detective sergeant attached to a command in the South West Metropolitan Region was issued a Court Attendance Notice for drive with mid-range PCA and his licence was suspended.
He is due to appear before Penrith Local Court on Tuesday 16 November 2021.
