Officer charged – South West Metropolitan Region 22 August, NSW

A serving police officer has been charged following an investigation into alleged domestic violence offences.

In August 2022, officers from North West Metropolitan Region commenced an investigation into reports of alleged domestic violence-related offences.

Following extensive inquiries – a 34-year-old probationary constable – attached to a command in the South West Metropolitan Region – was arrested on Wednesday (17 August 2022) and charged with stalk/ intimidate intending to cause fear of physical or mental harm – (DV).

The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Hornsby Local Court on Tuesday 6 September 2022.

The officer is suspended with pay.
