A police officer has been charged following an investigation into alleged misconduct.
In May 2020, an investigation was launched by the Professional Standards Command into the alleged mishandling of an investigation after a vehicle stop.
Following investigations, a 27-year-old man was issued a court attendance notice today (Wednesday 30 September 2020) for neglect of duty.
The officer, who is attached to a command in the South West Metropolitan Region, is due to appear in Liverpool Local Court on Wednesday 11 November 2020.
The officer is currently suspended from duty.
