A police officer has been charged after an alleged assault earlier this year.
Following investigations, a 47-year-old man – who is a senior constable attached to a command in Southern Region – was issued a court attendance notice yesterday (Tuesday 29 September 2020) for common assault.
The charge relates to an alleged incident that occurred in the carpark of a service station in Fairy Meadow on Monday 8 June 2020.
The officer is due to appear in Wollongong Local Court on Tuesday 10 November 2020.
