A serving police officer has been charged over alleged domestic-related offences.
Yesterday (Monday 24 February 2020), a 45-year-old Sergeant – attached to Southern Region – was charged with two counts of common assault and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He was granted strict conditional bail to appear before Moruya Local Court on 13 March 2020.
Police will allege in court the charges relate to multiple domestic incidents that occurred between 2017 and 2020.
The officer’s duty status is currently under review.
