A serving police officer in the state’s west has been charged with assault.
The 47-year-old male senior constable, who is attached to the Western Region, was yesterday (Tuesday 30 July 2019) issued a Future Court Attendance Notice for common assault.
The charge relates to an arrest made while the officer was on duty on Saturday 30 March 2019.
He is due to appear before Bourke Local Court on Thursday 19 September 2019.
