OMCG arrest and drug seizure, South Australia

A handgun, drugs, cash and cars have all been seized from a Novar Gardens home yesterday morning.

Just after 11am on Monday 3 May, members from Serious and Organised Crime Branch and Special Task and Rescue Group attended a property at Novar Gardens where they arrested a 40-year-old man from Morphett Vale. Police will allege he is a member of the Comanchero OMCG.

The man was charged with three counts of breaching his bail conditions. He was remanded in custody to appear in court at a later date.

During a search of the property police located and seized an Audi station wagon, a Holden Captiva station wagon and a Ford Focus sedan.

As a result of a further search police located a loaded .22 calibre handgun, ammunition, approximately 500 grams of methamphetamine, a stolen Police identification and more than $10K cash.

Detective Chief Inspector David Scutchings of Serious and Organised Crime Branch says, “SAPOL will continue to focus our attention on members and associates of outlaw motorcycle gangs who choose to put the community at risk by arming themselves with firearms”.
