Three 15-year-old boys have been arrested after a stolen car crashed in Aitkenvale yesterday as police continue to target property offences in the Townsville district as part of Operation Nano.
The red Camry struck another parked vehicle on Leopold Street around 11.30am on January 25 before colliding with a pole. The occupants then fled the scene.
Police took three teenage boys into custody a short time later in Aitkenvale.
In the past 24 hours Operation Nano has seen one adult arrested on four charges and four juveniles on nine charges for various offences including enter with intent and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
Townsville police will continue to maintain a high visibility presence over the coming weeks as part of the Operation which since commencing on January 20 has resulted in 11 adults and 16 juveniles charges with more than 130 offences.
