Customers tell us that choice, value and speed are important to them and our new 5G Internet plans deliver exactly this. 5G creates a whole new world of experiences within the home with the ability to stream and share content from multiple devices at the same time – something that has become increasingly important this year, as our way of working, schooling and living has changed, said Matt Williams, Optus Managing Director Marketing and Revenue.

Having been in market with this world leading product for nearly a year, we have seen and learnt how our thousands of customers are using our 5G Internet. What is clear is that customers enjoy choice and flexibility when it comes to home internet, so we have designed these new 5G Internet plans to create options for our customers delivering them a high speed and entertainment package that works best for their lifestyle.

In addition, Optus 5G Internet is plug and play allowing customers to self-install, meaning that they can choose when they set up their device and all with minimal effort.

More than 420,000 households in Australia can now access Optus 5G Internet as Optus continues to accelerate its 5G deployment.

* The actual speed experienced by each customer will vary based on factors such as the placement of the modem, distance from the 5G tower, local conditions, software and hardware features, and levels of internet traffic and congestion. Average download speed as at September 2020 is calculated based on the previous rolling 3- month period and is the average speed experienced by a representative group of customers between 7pm and 11pm (the busy time for consumer internet traffic).
