Pair charged over commercial quantity of drugs, Porsches seized in Melbourne’s southeast

A man and woman have been charged with serious drug offences and had their luxury cars seized after police allegedly located commercial quantities of cocaine and MDMA in Melbourne’s southeast.

Prahran Divisional Response Unit detectives executed a search warrant at a unit on St Kilda Road, Melbourne, about 8am on Thursday 1 February.

During a search of the property, police seized cocaine with an estimated potential street value of more than $140,000, MDMA worth more than $40,000, and $25,000 worth of ketamine, as well as quantities of cannabis and prescription medication.

Officers also located almost $40,000 in cash, and seized mobile phones and two Porsches, alleged to be the proceeds of crime.

A 46-year-old man and 45-year-old woman were arrested at the scene.

Both have been charged with trafficking commercial quantities of drugs of dependence, and were bailed to appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 29 April.
