Pakenham hit-run investigation continues

Cardinia Crime Investigation Unit detectives continue to investigate an alleged hit-run in Pakenham on Tuesday.

Detectives charged a 24-year-old man yesterday with reckless conduct endangering serious injury.

The Morwell man fronted Melbourne Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

It is alleged a pedestrian was struck by a cyclist in the car park of Main Street Plaza about 8.20am.

The 79-year-old was airlifted to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

Investigators appeal to anyone in the area at the time of the incident who haven’t yet spoken to police to come forward.
