Park’nPay goes live in Parramatta Park

Minister for Customer Service and Digital Government

Drivers visiting Parramatta Park can pay for parking with ease and convenience, as it becomes the newest location to join the NSW Government’s Park’nPay app.

Minister for Customer Service and Digital Government Victor Dominello said Park’nPay would give visitors to the popular park a seamless parking experience.

“Park’nPay will take the hassle out of parking for the thousands of visitors to Parramatta Park each year by allowing them to pay and top-up for parking with just a tap of their phone as well as pay for the exact of time they need,” Mr Dominello said.

“Drivers also receive a notification 10 minutes before their parking expires, making it easier than ever to stay on top of your time and to help reduce the cost of parking for them as they no longer have to guess what they need ahead of time.

“More than 109,000 drivers have downloaded the Park’nPay app since its launch in 2019, with more than 91 per cent giving the technology the thumbs up.”

Member for Parramatta Geoff Lee said the technology will make life easier for locals and visitors wanting to enjoy Parramatta Park.

“Whether you want to cycle or walk around the 85 hectares of green space, learn about the park’s history, or just enjoy time with loved ones, the world heritage listed Parramatta Park has so much to offer,” Mr Lee said.

“We are excited to add more than 100 parking spots across Parramatta Park into the platform and ensure more people can enjoy the benefits of Park’nPay.

“I encourage residents to download the app and give it a go.”

Park’nPay is available in a number of locations including The Rocks, Ryde, Cumberland, Liverpool, Mosman, Central Coast, Hunters Hill, Burwood, The Northern Beaches, Port Stephens, Willoughby, Armidale, Sydney’s Royal Botanic Garden and NSW National Parks.

The app also provides information on real-time parking availability for 21 Transport for NSW Commuter Carparks, locations of electric vehicle charging stations and more than 18,000 private driveways to rent.
