A teenage boy has been seriously injured after a crash on Sydney’s northern beaches.
About 7pm yesterday (Tuesday 21 July 2026), emergency services responded to reports of a crash between an e-bike and a white Mitsubishi Triton utility at the intersection of Pittwater Road and Hawkesbury Avenue, Dee Why.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the rider and passenger – two boys both aged 15 – of the e-bike at the scene.
The passenger was taken to Sydney Children’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The rider was taken to the same hospital for assessment.
Inquiries have established the rider was not wearing a helmet; however, the passenger was.
The 28-year-old male driver of the utility returned a negative breath test and was uninjured.
Officers from Northern Beaches Police Area Command secured a crime scene that was examined by specialist police from the Crash Investigation Unit.
