Pedestrian Critical After Collision In Delahey

Brimbank Highway Patrol are appealing for witnesses after a woman was hit by a car in Delahey this afternoon.

Police have been told the woman was walking south along Kings Road when she appeared to step onto the road, between Goldsmith Avenue and Coleridge Drive, just before 4pm.

It appears at this stage the woman was attempting to cross the road.

The 77-year-old pedestrian was taken to hospital with critical injuries.

The driver of the Toyota utility, a 63-year-old woman from Keilor, stopped at the scene and has spoken with police.

Police are appealing for motorists with dashcam who were driving on Kings Road or anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
